Cosy, perfect unit with private bathroom, and accommodating staff. A huge variety of goodies for breakfast. Central location and close to an underground station. Again, walking distance to a large urban plaza.

The location of the Hostal was perfect fro seeing Madrid. The rooms were small but the beds very comfortable and the place was clean and the bathrooms were very compact but of a very good standard considering the very low price tag.
The one thing we felt was slightly negative was that the familly running it were heavily involved in our stay and rather nosey. Although it wasn't a massive problem, some more customer professionalism could be good, altho I must say for the price I think it can be overlookedw

The hotel has a perfect location, just 2 minutes walk from Gran Via. The street where it`s situated is safe, there are several restaurants with local cuisine and some coffee shops and supermarkets as well. This is just the place to stay at night, there are no facilities. The rooms are very simple, with old furniture, but very clean. The owners of the hotel, old couple, they don`t speak english, but their son, Antonio, is working there as well. He is a perfect helpful guy with perfect english!!! He explained me everything regarding the city, where to catch the city tour bus, where to eat and many other things!!! Then, he provided me with full information how to go from Madrid to Lisbon, then he helped me to buy through internet the air ticket Madrid-Lisbon, and even he managed to print it for me (there is no printer at the hotel!), I didn`t even ask him about that. He is doing his best for the guests, he is very polite and positive! So, if you book this hotel, you can be sure that you are in the city center, in the clean safe place with english speaking service.
Actually I cannot say anything bad because for this price you cannot demand many things. For this price the service provided was good.

Great spot for an overnight stay! We had a blast during our quick one-night visit. the location of this place couldn't be better, super close to a subway station 🚇. We grabbed lunch at Pret a Manger, which was just a stone's throw away.

The room was a big enough, the stuff (especially an amazing grandmother) was very helpful and polite. The young man speak English and he advised me not to take a taxi to Barajas at 4 A.m, but get a transfer from Plaza Cibeles (it was a really closer to hostal and costs only 2 euro).

The spanish speaking older man. He is very kind. Clean good location and you can lock your own room.
I didn't meet the english speaking Anthony. I have no idea he excist. Do not expect a hotel. It's a room in the owners place. If you are ok with that then it's great and very good location.

Family run hostel. Great location - near by Gran Via. Rooms simple furnished but clean. Not too noisy. Safe neighbourhood. Good value for the money. 3rd floor - lift in the building.
Lack of air conditioning - A bit hot in summer :)
